Suggestions for your transportation & parking
ASGA urges you to stay at the official conference hotel. We have negotiated lower rates than you can get online. You’ll also get a free hot breakfast ($21 per person per day normally) and free parking ($17 per day). Also, resort fees ($25 per day for each room) are waived!
CONFERENCE LOCATION
The conference is at the Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration, 2900 Parkway Boulevard, Kissimmee, FL 34747. Recently renovated with all-new sleeping rooms, along with two huge pools with slides, volleyball court, fitness center, and huge commons area for relaxing.

Weather
In November in Florida, the average daytime highs are 70-80 degrees and the average evening temperatures range from as low as 60-70 degrees. Meeting rooms may be cool due to air conditioning. Orlando weather is quite moderate in November.
Airport
If it would take you more than eight hours to drive to this conference, ASGA recommends that you consider flying.
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is about 20 miles from the Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration, the official conference hotel and venue. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the conference hotel, depending on traffic/time of day.
There are other near-by airports, such as Tampa International Airport (TPA), Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB), or St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). Tampa is 66 miles (about an hour drive), Sanford is 50 miles (about 50 minutes), Daytona Beach is 77 miles (about one hour and 15 minutes), and St. Pete-Clearwater is 88 miles (about one hour and 30 minutes).
The benefit of Clearwater and Daytona airports? You can hit the beach before coming to the conference! Clearwater is on the Gulf on the west coast of Florida, while Daytona Beach is right on the Atlantic Ocean.
Ground Transportation
Orlando does not offer convenient public transportation options. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle. You will need transportation to and from airport, conference location, restaurants, and attractions. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the conference hotel.
While you can take a taxi ($52-$68 each way), shuttle van ($22-$37 per person round-trip), Uber ($42-65 each way), or Lyft from the Orlando International Airport to the conference hotel, ASGA recommends that you get a rental car/van for additional sightseeing, shopping, and restaurant options in Orlando, particularly if you have a larger group. You’ll save money by renting a vehicle.
The conference hotel offers a free shuttle that stops at all four Disney parks, as well as Universal Studios (Contact the hotel for the shuttle schedule).
Uber & Lyft
Both taxi-alternatives are convenient and easy to use. You’ll save money by using Uber or Lyft over a taxi.
Parking
Parking (normally $17/day) is included in the ASGA-negotiated room rate. If you are not staying at the conference, it will be $17 per day.
At most restaurants in Orlando, there is no charge for parking. However, the theme parks charge, so you can use the free hotel shuttle.
